Descended Thornton Creek with a group of 13 today….WOAH! Lots of people, lots of rope, lots of staging. We had folks from B.C. Washington, California, and Oregon.

Water levels were a bit higher than what we were hoping for likely secondary to recent heavy rains, however, we made the decision to commit anyways. We had a wide range of experience levels within our group ranging from Alps canyon guide down to “C” class canyon newbies which in retrospect probably wasnt the wisest idea. That’s the thing about hindsight…

Despite a few mishaps and some serious time wasted standing around waiting (getting cold), we all made it down in one piece and with smiles on our faces. dry cloths, dinner, laughs.

Great canyon, good times, awesome friends.
